Jane Jeater Osteopathy, treating the body, from head to toe. Osteopathy treats the body holistically: as a whole, rather than as single parts.

Jane Jeater and team, providing osteopathy and sports massage to Hastings, Battle, and the surrounding East Sussex and Kent area.
When most people think of Osteopathy, they think of back pain, and they would be right. The most common reason for seeing an osteopath is lower back pain or lower back ache, but did you know osteopathy can reduce symptoms of joint pain all over the body, from your neck down to your toes?

So whether you have hurt your ankle in a sports injury, have chronic arthritic pain in your knees, or have strained your wrist from too much work at the computer, osteopathic treatment could be the answer.

It’s not just bones or joints either, osteopathy can ease muscle strains and muscle tension, reduce a muscle spasm, ease sciatica and other neuralgias. Osteopathy can help to improve your circulation, and even help with some digestive problems.

Kim Westerman

Kim Westerman is an experienced osteopath and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council. Since returning to Sussex, Kim has been practicing in Bexhill and we are delighted to welcome her to the team in Battle.

Kim completed her training with the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM), graduating with a Masters degree in Osteopathy in 2012. Kim also holds a diploma in Naturopathy, which qualifies her to advise on dietary and lifestyle issues.

Kim recently returned to Sussex having lived in Alberta, Canada after graduating, where she worked as a principal osteopath treating people of all ages with a variety of different injuries and ailments. Whilst in Canada Kim also managed a weekly injury clinic for the Camrose Kodiaks ice hockey team, treating injuries and helping to speed up recovery to enable the players to get back on the ice quicker.

Kim’s interest in osteopathy stems from a childhood sporting injury, as even though the injury was sustained to her neck, all pain and symptoms developed in her lower back, which piqued her interest in how the body is structured and connected. Kim believes everyone experiences pain and injuries in different ways due to our differing bodies and lifestyles. Therefore Kim will assess and treat you individually, to ensure you receive personalised care that is suited to you.
